Denise F. Talbot
Denise is our Life Care Planning Coordinator here at Weatherby & Associates, PC. She received her MA in Human Development and Gerontology from Saint Joseph College, and her BS in Music Education from Central Connecticut State University, New Britain, CT. Denise worked in the corporate environment for a number of years and most recently worked as the Director of Community Relations for a homecare agency. Denise has also worked at the CT chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, as a Helpline and Safe Return Coordinator and has had personal experience caring for both of her parents prior to their passing. Denise has written extensively on subjects such as caregiving, residential and housing choices, retirement, grief and bereavement, long-term care and long-term care insurance. She is also an associate editor of the Encyclopedia of Retirement and Finance, published under the auspices of the Institute for Socio-Financial Studies and was cited in an article in the Kansas Law Review, Vol. 55, No. 2, 2006.
Denise is the Past Chair of the West Hartford Senior Citizen Advisory Commission and has served on the Delegate Council for the National Institute on Financial Issues and Services for Elders. Also, she is a former board member of One Full House, Inc. and was a violinist and board member with the West Hartford Symphony Orchestra from 2003-2007.
