Tera Black
Tera is the Public Benefits Specialist at Weatherby & Associates, PC. She received her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources as well as her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University in December, 2011. Tera began working here as the marketing intern in the fall of 2011 and was promoted to Public Benefits Specialist in January 2012. Tera also held another internship position simultaneously to her marketing internship here, in the Human Resources department at Hebrew Health Care in West Hartford.
Tera’s daily duties include performing VA Benefit phone screenings, maintaining and filing VA Benefit and Medicaid applications. Tera is one of the first points of contact for prospective clients and performs VA Benefit Phone Screenings to see if a Veteran is qualified for VA Aid & Attendance. Once a Veteran Prospect becomes a Client, Tera assists them with filing the application. Tera is also responsible for marketing for the firm, including newsletters, website maintenance, and social media.
